Anyone with a SAT score greater than 1400 can disregard this post as you will find better options for sure if not this can be your safety college.
For CS and IT students:
1. Career environment in southeastern for CS-majors is good. As most of the seniors or alumni you know have had received their first internship in their junior or sophomore year. It strives you to work even more hard like them.
2. SLU has 3-4 core project classes which makes their CS undergrad degree rank higher in the southern region of United States compared to ULM and LSU.
3. You can meet the local tech industry in various fairs organized by southeastern like tech-connect, career fair, handshake, etc.
4. There is a Club called (ACM) Accredited Computing Machinery which hosts tech-savvy people, former alumni’s working in high-tech companies, etc to give a talk, and do a question-and-answer session, every Thursday in the university.
5. There is a lab called Envoc created for CS and IT students where you can meet most of the CS and IT students with different classifications hanging out. You can easily make new connections.
