I am a graduate of #selu. I enjoyed studying Information Technology there.

Campus offered internship opportunities in the field of study i.e IT, which help me kickstart my career. Also, Senior there were getting real word internship by end of sophomore and junior year which pushed me to the same direction.

From 3rd semester, we had an software engineering class from Dr. Alkadi, which raised the boundaries among students, TAs were there to help/guide us too, as this was the one of the first project class. it was fun competition to build cool projects.

As liberal arts university, I had the flexibility to choose around 15 credit hours in various subjects like communication, music, business statistics and others field that i explored, With only two required math classes, unlike a CS major. This allowed me more time to focus on software development.

Overall the courses designed was very practical. Out of 120 credit hours required to graduate,curriculum was 60 credit hours of computer and programming related course and 60 credit hours of others.

By the end of the 4rth year i took 3-4 software development/engineering classes which helped me to build my portfolio and help me land my first job as software developer even before i graduated.

Also, some of the professor like Dr Burris, Dr. Alkadi, Dr. Kazim and Dr. McDowell classes were fun and super helpful. Pretty much all of my friends in IT and CS major landed job in the tech field after graduation. Which is another good culture of Southeastern.

I will definitely recommended #selu to students who want to study IT or CS.
